Scoring at the cemetery

This past weekend was good in many ways. We picked up my mom and met my aunt and assorted relatives at the annual cemetery homecoming. Lots of laughing, eating, and singing. We also scored a new family member -- Mollie B. She's our new dog! We named her Mollie after my great-grandmother who's buried in the cemetery and B for bones since we found her where lots of bones reside. When you think about it, a boneyard is a pretty good place for a dog to be!

Apparently, the collarless juvenile had been put out by someone. She's very friendly. We're unsure of her exact lineage, but she appears to be a mix of German shepherd, pit bull, and Lab. The vet estimated her age between nine months and a year. We're happy to have a new pet and hope that she become a good "varmint" dog!
